Great Initiative by Mangalore University: Students Admitted Must Plant A Tree at The Campus

Mangalore University has started a great initiative where the students who are admitted at the university must plant a tress at the campus and nurture it till the end of their academic term. This initiative is an effort to make the campus environment friendly. Ones the students pant the trees/sapling, their name will be digitally registered & tagged in front of the plant. Each department & faculty will be allocated a space at the university campus for planting trees. the plants will be provided by the university which will be mostly fruit bearing. Once the programme starts at Mangalore university, it will be implemented at 207 colleges which are affiliated with it in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi & Kodagu districts.
