November 4: After the amendment to the Motor Vehicles Act, drink and drive has become an offence and people end up paying huge fines.
This has created employment opportunities to several in the city.
One unique idea has been launched in Mangalore by Adnan Baig who us 34 year old. he has launched cab services to drop back revellers after they have partied hard. Through his business venture, Travelex Cabs and Hotels Services he launched ‘Get drunk and get dropped’ service on a two-wheeler.

Adnan said that the idea behind this is to drop those who get drunk back home for Rs 100 on the two-wheeler. Along with this there are two other services that he offers, include drop by cab for Rs 400 within the city, and he also offers his services as a driver within the city. Initially they have introduced three Suzuki Burgman motorbikes that are parked outside prominent lounges in the city but have plans to cover all pubs.
With the help of his friend Mark, an event manager, who introduced him several clients who need to be dropped back home after parties.
Adnan also mentioned that this is just the beginning. In case the demand for this service, more motorbikes would be introduced to drop people back home.
After this ‘Get drunk and get dropped’ service was formally launched on Saturday, about 12 people opted for being dropped on the two-wheelers and nearly 15 rides were arranged in the cab and three others had to be dropped home in their cars.
