Here Are Some Changes Made in Mass Feeding at Few Famous Temples in Tulunad

February 13: : Temples in Dakshina Kannada which is well known for its mass feeding for the devotees have recently made few changes in the system due to pandemic. These temples which receive thousands of devotees from across the country every day have modified the manner in which they administer their ‘Anna Santarpane’ (mass feeding ) programmes.
At Kateel Durgaparameshwari temple, earlier food was served on banana leaves but now been replaced with steel plates. The temple installed industrial dishwashers at a cost of Rs 11 lakh. A buffet system was introduced as per government SOPs.
Kukke Subrahmanya temple serves food to devotees in banana leaves/patravali plates but soon will be replaced with steel plates.
Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala follows the social distancing rule during meals even though food is served on arecanut/patravali plates.
