High Alert in Mangalore City: Cases to be Registered if Found Travelling Unnecessarily

Mangalore police commissioner Shashi Kumar stated that there will be high alert in Dakshina Kannada district during the 14 day lockdown announced by the state government. Commissioner mentioned that there will be 54 check posts and three mobile police squads in every police station limits. Over 1000 additional police personnel have been deployed for the effective implementation of the lockdown, he added.
The commissioner has urged the public to co-operate in the effective implementation of the 14 day Covid lockdown and not to violate the norms as cases will be registered against those moving unnecessarily during the lockdown.
