Hike in Private Bus Fares in Mangalore: District Administration Puts Temporary Stay on This

The DK Bus Operators’ Association has demanded to allow them collect 25% enhanced fares considering increased diesel price and the condition of 50% occupancy after the lockdown relaxation. Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has stated that the DK district administration has temporarily stayed the hike in bus fares introduced by the  DK Bus Operators’ Association post lockdown and they have to maintain the fare that existed prior to lockdown. DC Rajendra said that the  a meeting will be held with the RTA within a  week until which the operators have agreed to go back to fares in operation before the lockdown.
