Illegal transport of Wooden logs from Uppinangadi: Driver arrested

Police officials from Uppinangadi Police Station seized wooden logs that were being transported illegally from forest land on Sunday.
Police officials intercepted the pick-up vehicles near Ajila Mogru bridge on Tekkar. Driver of the vehicle Shanti Prasad was arrested while another accused Hakeen managed to escape. The value of the wooden logs is estimated to be around Rs 25000.
A case has been registered under Karnataka Forest Act & Karnataka forest Rules.
