Installing CCTV Cameras in Temple Kitchens in Mandatory: This is the Reason

September 28: District-in-Charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary during a preparatory meeting of Dasara Mahotsava in DC building on Friday said that it is mandatory that temple kitchens should have CCTV cameras. Minister has directed the concerned authorities to ensure that kitchens in all temples, Muzrai as well as private, are equipped with CCTV cameras at the earliest. He said the district administration will extend all the support needed for the success of Mangalore Dasara.
Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B. Rupesh said that temple managements should ensure that no plastic is used in temples for any purpose, including for distribution of prasadam.
Police Commissioner P.S. Harsha has urged the temple managements to immediately inform the police if unknown persons volunteer to do work during the festival season. He also directed temple managements to ensure all vehicles used for dasara processions have appropriate documents. Commissioner also mentioned that the city police will be providing round the clock security during Dasara celebrations.
