Institutions To Be Turned Into Quarantine Centres In Udupi: Those Unwilling Will Be Booked

May 9: Udupi deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha said that quarantine centres have to be opened for people arriving from other states and districts into the district.

DC mentioned that all arrangements have been made at private schools and colleges to accommodate those who come from outstation places into the district.
He also mentioned that the concerned institutions have to vacate their facilities and hand over the same to district administration once they are notified. Once the quarantine period is over the said facilities will be completely sanitized and handed over back to the management of the institution.
DC Jagadeesha said that anyone who objects the opening of such centres will be booked under section 188, 269 and 270.
