Kargil Vijay Divas: This is how Mangaloreans paid tribute to Kargil Martyrs

July  27: Several programmes were organised in Mangalore to mark the Kargil Vijay Diwas on Friday, July 26.
Dakshina Kannada Ex-servicemen’s Association had organised a programme at the war memorial in Kadri Hills to observe Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mudipu, observed Kargil Vijay Diwas. The students sang patriotic songs and also staged a play depicting the Kargil War. The significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the sacrifices of war heroes was also highlighted.
Indian Coastal Guard observed Kargil Vijay Diwas by inviting students from Amrita Vidyalayam to visit their Hovercraft.
The Home Guards also observed Kargil Vijay Diwas at their office. Commandant Dr Muralee Mohan Choontharu addressed the Home
Guards.
