Keep the Beaches Clean to Attract Tourists: Be a Part This Beach Cleanliness Drive

November 10: A cleanliness drive will be organised at Malpe and Padukere beaches under Swachh Bharat drive on November 12.
Deputy Commissioner of Udupi Jagadeesha has directed various departments to gather 1,000 volunteers to involve in the cleanliness drive. The drive will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers D V Sadananda Gowda in Malpe beach.
DC Jagadeesha said students from nursing colleges, PU colleges, youth associations, Bhajan Mandalis, NSS, NCC, Scouts and Guides should be involved to ensure the success of the drive.
Along with cleanliness drive, arrangements should be made to allow artists to make sand sculptures on the beaches.
DC has ditrected the officials has directed the officials that parking facility should be provided and suitable measures should be taken to dispose the collected garbage. Sign boards should be put up on the way to the beaches, he added.
