KSRTC Buses Arranged To Shift International Passengers From Kerala Arriving At Mangalore Airport

March 20: KSRTC buses have been arranged to shift international passengers from Kerala, who arrive at Mangalore International Airport (MIA).
This decision has been taken in the wake of a Covid-19 patient who  traveled  from MIA to Kasaragod on March 4.
Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Sindhu Rupesh & Kasaragod district collector D Sajith Babu have set up a protocol in this connection. This is done to prevent the spread of COVID 19 in both the districts.
Accordingly, KSRTC buses will transport international passengers hailing from Kerala to the state’s border at Talapady in a police convoy. The Kasaragod district administration will then make arrangements to shift them to either the hospital or their homes based on their health condition, from Talapady.
DC Sindhu said that this measure is taken as 50% to 60% of people arriving at Mangalore International Airport are from Kerala.
