Laksha Deepotsava to Be Held at Dharmasthala: Nearly 1728 People Join Hands to Clean-Up Nearby Areas

November 18: During the auspicious Karthika masa, Laksha Deepotsava at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala will be held from November 22 to 27.
Ahead of the Laksha Deepotsava, a mass cleanliness drive was held from the bathing ghat at Sri Kshetra to all important across the taluk including Ujire, Belthangady town, Madanthyar, Hosangadi, Pilya, Aladangady and so on. Several people volunteered for this cleanliness drive held on Sunday, November 17.
The drive held in 21 places across Belthanagdy taluk during which as many as 1728 volunteers bend their backs to the designated areas. 413 gunny bags of waste collected was handed over to the respective panchayati raj and urban local bodies for effective disposal.
D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala said that more than 10,.000 devotees will take part in a padayatra  from Ujire to Dharmasthala on November 22 to mark the beginning of the Laksha Deepotsava at the Dharmasthala.
