Life Back to Normalcy in Mangalore: Textile, Footwear & Other Shops Open After Almost Two Months

The lockodwn restrictions have been relaxed in Dakshina Kannada (DK), from Wednesday June 23. This has made Mangaloreans get back to normal life as textile, footwear, stationery shops have opened after a gap of almost 2months. Though the shops should be closed at 2 pm as per the guideline given by the district administration these shops can make some business during the given time. People were seen more in footwear and textile shops than in grocery as the daily needs were open throughout during the lockdown. The district administration has also given permission to serve food in hotels/restaurants with 50% of seating capacity. Heavy traffic was witnessed in MG road, Hampankatta, Town Hall road and Bunts Hostel.
