Local Candidates Must be Given preference for Jobs at MRPL: What do You Think?

August 21: Employees’ Union of MRPL (Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited) has urged the MRPL to give preference to local candidates while filling up vacant posts for workman grades.
Union president Sudhendu K said that few candidates from Karnataka were recruited at the national-level recruitment done by the MRPL. There is a need to give priority to candidates from Karnataka, especially the local youth.
He mentioned that industries in the neighboring states had given priority to their local candidates, whereas Candidates from Karnataka do not have preference in their own state. He has urged the local candidates to attend all recruitment camps for lower category like ‘C’ and ‘D’ in the MRPL and has requested the elected representatives from the State and the Centre to  support the cause.
