Locals & Tourists Flock The Rejuvenated Gujjarkere Lake in Mangalore: All Thanks To MLA Vedavyas Kamath

The 1800 Year old Gujjarkere lake in Mangalore city received a major facelift after he development work which took place recently under the smart city project. This Lake has become one of the major tourists destination in the city because of its pleasant surrounding. Under the project, several amenities have been provided, the lake has been desilted, steps have been reconstructed and safety railings have been fixed. A walking tract has been constructed for joggers and a play area for children also been built. The lake has very good facilities like wide footpath, decorative lamps, gym area and also rest rooms.

Mangalore South MLA Vedavyas Kamath took the initiative to rejuvenate the lake and the smart city projects. He also mentioned that the lake will be further developed by building a fountain which is under tender process. There will likely be boating facilities soon at the lake.
