Mandara – Tulu Font Launched: Another Interesting Step to Recognize & Standardise The Language
Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat has launched the Tulu font of ‘Mandara’ on Monday, July 19. The font has been independently developed by Prahlad Tantry and is adaptable to computers and is expected to help stenographers in the House to transcribe the speech made by leaders. The MLA also announced that all the MLAs from both districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada will speak in Tulu during the next winter session of the Karnataka State legislature. This is an interesting and great move to recognize the Tulu language and standardise its usage in writing.
