Mangalore – Bangalore trains cancelled due to dangerous rock slurry on tracks: Kindly note

July 21: Heavy rains on Sakleshpur-Subrahmanya Ghat section on Thursday, has disrupted operation of train services on the Bangalore-Mangalore route. Loose soil with boulders which has come down in the form of slurry has covered the track between Shirivagilu and Subrahmanya Road railway station at Kms 86/6-7. Railway staff is working continuously inspite of hostile weather to clear the slurry and dangerous rocks near the track. SWR in coordination with other zonal railways has decided to cancel/partially cancel/divert train services to ensure safety of passengers. Accordingly, trains 16575/76 Yesvantpur- Mangalore junction-Yesvantpur Express journey on July 21 and 22 are cancelled.
