Mangalore City Corporation Launches Electric Vehicles For Waste Collection
Mangalore City Corporation has launched electric vehicles for door-to-door waste collection in its jurisdiction in collaboration with Pragya Automobiles.
Twenty-four eco-friendly, pollution-free vehicles, manufactured by Pragya Automobiles from Bengaluru, were handed over to sanitation workers.
Inaugurating the waste collection vehicles, MP Brijesh Chowta stated that electric vehicles contribute to the vision of a clean and green Mangalore. He mentioned that Pragya Automobiles provided the waste collection vehicles in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the Make in India initiative.
