Mangalore City Police Gearing Up to Tackle The Drone Threat: Know More About This

In the wake of an increased drone activity near the international border of India near Jammu, security at the airports, ports, railway stations etc has been kept on high alert. Mangalore city police have held discussions with the officials of the ministry of civil aviation on this issue. Mangalore city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar is in coordination with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, to introduce sufficient measures, which will protect the Airport. They have already been in talks with some Israeli agencies, which has installed a radar-connected anti-missile system in its airports, which is capable of identifying the entry of a drone within its jurisdiction and to destroy it. DCP Hariram Shankar said that it is important to have a unique identification number and unmanned aircraft operator permit from the Director General of Civil Aviation. He mentioned that all drone users have to follow legal measures, he said drones without legal documents will be seized.
