Mangalore City to Have More Greenery: MCC & Ramakrishna Mission Will Take up Afforestation Activities

Mangalore South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath said that due to the increase in urbanisation and construction of houses and commercial buildings, the greenery has been destroyed to a great extent.

The Mangalore City Corporation in association with Ramakrishna Mission, will increase the green cover in the city, by taking up afforestation activities. The MCC and the forest department will maintain a cordial relationship, and work together in increasing the city’s green cover said the Mayor Premananda Shetty.
