Mangalore City Will Soon Get an Attractive Look: 80 Parks Planned Across All Wards

Mangalore will soon turn into a more attractive city as 80 parks have been planned across all wards. While Mangalore south will have 43 parks, Mangalore north will have 37 parks. As per MUDA engineer, a walking track, a children’s point, and other facilities will be added if the space is medium in size. If the suggested locations are insufficient, a Miyawaki-style park resembling a small forest will be built and if it is a landscape model, an attractive park will be developed. The MUDA plans to provide at least one park for each of the wards.

There will be five phases to the parks’ building. Six parks will be built in the city’s north constituency and nine in the south constituency in the first phase. A team of local authorities is already discussing plans for the parks that will be developed in Padil, Maroli, and Yekkur, among other places. It has been learned that there is a proposal to commit the future care of these parks to companies, institutions, and banks.
