Mangalore Feels Proud Again: Siblings From the City Create Record in Singapore

January 9: Siblings Ashwin D’Silva and Ashel D’Silva from Mangalore has participated in South East Asian Trophy which was held at January 4 and 5 at Jcube Mall, Singapore.

The championship was organized by Ice Skating Union and Singapore Ice Skating Association and had participants from over 14 countries.
While Ashwin is a student of 1st year BBA St Aloysius College, Ashel is a student of Cambridge School and studying in 10th standard.
Ashwin bagged three gold medals in 500, 1000,and 1500 meters in junior A men’s category and two silver medals in the men’s relay (3000 mts) and mixed relay (2000meters), his sister Ashel won a silver medal in junior ladies’ relay (2000 mts) in junior girls’ C D E category.
Ashwin and Ashel are the children of Alwyn and former corporator Asha D’Silva.
