Mangalore gets new Police Commissioner: More about this

August 6: After the transfer of the Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil to Bangalore as DIG and Joint Commissioner of Police (Crimes), the State Government has appointed Dr P S Harsha as the new City Police Commissioner on August 5, Monday. The new City Police Commissioner had earlier served as ASP in Puttur.
First, the government had announced the appointment of Dr Subrahmanyeshwara Rao as the new Commissioner but the same was cancelled.
