Mangalore International Airport Will See Growth in Flights by 26% Between October 29 to November 15

The Mangalore International Airport (MIA) will see a growth of flights by up to 26% between October 29 and November 15, with airlines augmenting their winter schedule in a phased manner during the period. As on date, the airport is handling 136 flights weekly on both domestic and international sectors. This will increase marginally to 138 flights (1% growth) on October 29; 145 (7%) on November 3;158 flights (16%) on November 6 and 172 flights (26%) on November 15. SpiceJet will introduce two daily flights to Bengaluru starting November 6, barring Tuesday using a 78-seater Bombardier aircraft.

Internationally, AIE will operate to Dubai (two daily), Abu Dhabi (four per week); Dammam and Muscat (three per week), Doha and Bahrain (two per week) and Kuwait (once a week). IndiGo will continue to operate four weekly flights to Dubai. SpiceJet too is eying resuming flights to Dubai in the winter.
