Mangalore to host the National Level Karate Championship: Here are the details
July 17: The 37th National Karate Championship 2019 will be held at Father Muller Indoor Stadium in Mangalore from November 8 to 10. Karate Trainer Dinesh Acharya said that the event would be organised by Budokan Karatedo India and would be hosted by Institute of Karate and Allied Arts, Mangalore. Acharya mentioned that all the participants, judges and coaches will be provided with free food and accommodation during the three-day the event.
Naerly 2,000 participants from across the country are expected to take part in the championship. The events will be held simultaneously in eight courts of the indoor stadium where the scoring system is totally computerised. There will be around 225 categories based on age group, body weight, Kata and Kumite.
