Mangalore & Udupi to Receive Heavy Rainfall Till July 9th: IMD Issues Orange Alert

Orange alert have been issued for Mangalore Udupi Till July 7th & yellow alert for July 8th & 9th. The IMD predicted thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by gusty winds with the speed reaching up to 40-45 mph and heavy rainfall of 115mm to 204 mm at isolated places in all the districts of Coastal Karnataka till July 8.

According to a sea alert issued by Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, high waves at range of 3.5 to 3.8m are expected along the coast of Karnataka, from Mangalore to Karwar. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea for time being.
