Manipal Poison Detection Centre gets recognized by World Health Organisation

July 5: Manipal Poison Detection Centre, a specialized unit that advises and assists the prevention, diagnosis and management of poisoning was  started on March 20, 2015.
This centre was established as Kasturba Medical College Hospital, was  receiving a large number of poisoning and drug abuse cases regularly. the World Health organisation has recognized the contributions of the Center in a short period of time and has listed Manipal Poison Detection Center in the directory of World Poison Centers on their website.
Dr H Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal unveiled a plaque to value the recognition by WHO  at the Biochemistry demo hall 1 recently.
