Marriage Functions in Halls Permitted by DC Rajendra: These Rules Have to be Followed

Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has issued an order allowing wedding functions to take place in Halls, hotels and choultries from June 28, Monday. The DC mentioned that the number of guests at weddings will strictly be limited to 40 and those who wish to hold wedding ceremonies in halls need to obtain prior permission from MCC commissioner, the panchayat development officer (PDO) and other officials concerned of the local taluk or gram panchayat bodies. The officials concerned will provide a pass with names of 40 guests and only those holding the pass will be allowed to attend the wedding. Only one marriage function should be allowed at a time in one venue. The DC also warned the owners of marriage halls and the organizers of weddings to take stringent action in case of violation of Covid protocols.
