MCC Clears Unauthorized Business Encroachments From Ladyhill to Urva Store Market

Taking serious cognizense of unlicensed establishments such as vegetables, flowers and other roadside business encroachments at footpaths, the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) had initiated a footpath clearance drive from Ladyhill to Urva Market. The drive was headed by Deputy commissioner (Revenue) along with officers from Revenue & Health department. This move was made considering citizen’s health, traffic issues & comfortable movement of pedestrians. The action was taken following complaints & concerns raised by the citizens & also media on the traffic issue & the inconvenience caused by vendors on the footpath.
