Memorial of Padmashri Kadri Gopalnath Unveiled: Here Are The Details

December 7: A memorial has been created in the honour of Late Padmashri kadri Gopalnath at his native place Sajipa. The memorial was unveiled on December 6, Sunday which happens to be his 71st birth anniversary.
The memorial, with a statue of the artiste holding a saxophone has been  spread over 2,000 sq. ft, and has a garden. The memorial also has a writing in Kannada which reads: “Music is a language which knows no boundaries of nation and dharma. It is a language of the heart.”
Family members of the late Padma Shri awardee have constructed the memorial in their own land in Bantwal. The statue has been made of ‘Krishna Shile’ (black granite).
Kadri Gopalnath’s disciples Chandrashekharnath Kananthoor, Janardanan V R Chennai, Sridhar Sagar, Tridhat, Prakash Kodyadka,Prof Babunarayan, Ganeshnath and Vekatachalapathi presented musical compositions. By playing saxophone and mandolin, they brought back memories of their Guru.
