Midday Meals to Students in Dakshina Kannada Schools to Start From Today

The Dakshina Kannada district administration has decided to start serving midday meals to students from October 20, Thursday. The meals will be served to students from classes VI to X in the district. Officials had already supplied groceries and food grains required for the preparation of midday meals to nearly 50% of the schools. Personnel at the schools, meanwhile, have been cleaning the area earmarked on the campus for the preparation of midday meals. People involved with preparing and serving the food were acquainted with the with the standard operating procedure (SOP) to be followed.
