Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary talks on These Issues in Udupi
September 3: Kota Srinivas Poojary Karnataka Minister for Muzrai and Fisheries during a meeting of Port and Fisheries department said that there are several complaints about work being implemented at a slower pace at break water work project taken up at a cost of Rs 33 crore at Koderi.
Minister Poojary also mentioned that the work on Malpe third phase project should be completed by September-end and the harbour should be handed over to Fisheries department.
He said that a proposal will be submitted to the government to increase the kerosene quota to 300 kilo litres as there are more than 4,000 mechanised country crafts and fishermen in the district were given 170 kilolitres of kerosene.
Several other issues like ‘Matsyashraya Yojana’, ‘engine subsidy’ and ‘relief compensation packages’ were discussed in the meeting.
