MLC Election: 389 Polling Booths Set Up in Twin Districts For 6040 Eligible Voters

The MLC elections are soon to be held and 389 polling booths have been set up in Dakshina Kannada & Udupi Districts for a total 6040 eligible voters. As many as 3535 voters are eligible in DK district where as, 2505 voters in Udupi. As the elections to taluk panchayat, zilla panchayat and some municipalities in DK & Udupi districts this time, the number of voters will be reduced by around 400.

A total of 8 candidates including 4 independents have filed a nomination for the 2 seats and the nomination of 1 independent candidate was rejected.
