Much Awaited Karkala-Mala NH 169 Four-Laning Work Likely to be Completed by Next February

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari informed the Lok Sabha that work on four-laning of the Mangalore-Solapur National Highway 169 between Karkala and Mala in Udupi district being executed by the National Highways Division of the Karnataka Public Works Department will likely be completed by next February.

The four-laning of the 15.2 km stretch between Karkala (Pulkeri junction) and Mala Forest Gate was sanctioned at an estimated cost of ₹177.94 crore in March 2022. The work was on with physical progress of 65%.
