MUDA Plans to Increase Green Cover in Mangalore to 33% in The Next 18 Months

MUDA Chairman Ravishankar Mijar informed that the green cover in Mangalore city will be increased to 33% in the next 18 months. Mangalore at present has green cover of 23%, but by the end of my term in another 18 months, MUDA has planned to add 10% green cover and take it to the national average of 33%. MUDA has proposed to have tree parks at 83 places in the city. At 10 places, the authority has proposed to have Miyawaki Forest. In another 15 days the authority will start greening the median between Lady Hill Circle and Kottara Chowki.
