Multiple Suicides: Muda Decides To Install CCTV Cameras & Iron Wire Fence At Netravathi Bridge

March 5: The Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has come forward to construct an iron wire fence and the install CC camera at Netravathi Bridge.
Mangalore South MLA Vedavyas Kamath examined whether the National Highway Authority (NHAI) was working on a two-sided iron fence for the 66-foot bridge, which could be made through the Department of Public Works. Realizing that there was no expediency by either them, MLA, decided to take it over to muda.
MLA Vedavyas Kamath, District Commissioner Sindhu b. Rupesh, Muda Commissioner Dinesh Kumar and police officials have already held talks and have estimated an estimated Rs 45 lakhs.
The project includes the construction of a high-resolution CC camera capable of capturing images up to a distance, with an iron grille mounted on either side of the bridge.
