New Bridge Connecting Mangalore and Bantwal Taluk Opens For Traffic

The new Mularapatna bridge connecting Mangalore and Bantwal taluk was opened for traffic on November 12, Friday in the presence of several local dignitaries and elected representatives. The old bridge across Phalguni river had collapsed due to incessant rains in June 2018 after which the construction of the new bridge began. Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik, Mangalore North MLA Dr Bharath Shetty Y, Bridge construction company Kavoor Mugrody Constructions owner Sudhaker Shetty Mugrody and several others were present.
