New Member of Mangalore Police Dog Squad Named Charlie: The Female Pup Gets a Grand Welcome

Mangalore Police Dos Squad gets a Charlie of its own. Inspired by Rakshit Shetty’s recent movie ‘Charlie 777’, which is based on the relationship between a man and an animal, the Mangalore city police have named the new member of their dog squad as Charlie. Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar along with few personnel saw the movie. After which, the personnel suggested Charlie as the name for the fifth member of the squad.

The three-month-old female Labrador Retriever was given the name after putting a garland and cake cutting ceremony at the kennel of the dog squad on the premises of the office of Police Commissioner on Friday. The pictures of grand welcome to the pup goes viral on social media.
