NITK Surathkal Ranked Tenth in Engineering Category For Second Consecutive Year

National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal, has been ranked tenth in the engineering category, in the NIRF India Ranking-2022. The institution has secured the same rank for the second consecutive year.
However, it has made improvements in the overall NIRF category, and enhanced its ranking from 32nd in NIRF-2021 to 27th in NIRF-2022. The NIRF-2022 ranking was released by Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday.

In 2020, NITK was placed 13th in the engineering school rankings, and 33rd in the overall rankings. It had improved its position by eight places in the engineering rankings, from 21st in 2019 to 13th in 2020, and by 20 places in the overall rankings, from 53rd to 33rd. The ranking in higher education institutions (HEIs) is being adopted on the basis of teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and peer perception.
