Not To Relocate Income Tax Office: MLA Kamath Requests FM & PM In His Tweet

September 8: As per the instructions of the Central government, Mangalore’s PCIT office which covers the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts has been merged with the Goa office.
There are around 4 lakh taxpayers from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts which generate an annual income of Rs 3,300 crore. With 4 lakh people paying tax in the district, it is difficult to go to Goa for audit objections.
Mangalore South MLA Vedavyas Kamath tweeted Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman & PM Narendra Modi, requesting them not to relocate the income tax office to Goa.
