Notice to be Issued to CBSE Schools in DK: Click to Know Why

November 29: The district administration has directed the education department to issue notices to CBSE schools that do not teach Kannada as a second language.
Additional deputy commissioner M J Roopa directed deputy director of public instructions (DDPI) Walter D’Mello to serve notices to all CBSE schools which are not teaching Kannada in the district.
Additional deputy commissioner M J Roopa directed the education department officials complaints have been received that many CBSE schools in the city are not teaching Kannada to students as a second language. Instead, those schools are teaching Kannada as a third language. Notices should be served and inspections should be conducted at those schools.
DDPI D’Mello said the department has already prepared teams to implement Kannada in CBSE schools.
