Palimaru Mutt Seer Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha nominates successor

March 27: Paryaya Palimaru Mutt pontiff Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha has selected a his successor. Shailesh Upadhyaya the eldest son of Vedamurthy Surendra Upadhyaya and Lakshmi from Kodavur will be the successor of Paryaya Palimaru Mutt. Shailesh said that he is interested in spirituality and fond of worshiping Lord Rama and Krishna.
Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha said the rituals like ‘Sanyasa Deekshe’, ‘Uttaradhikara Sweekara’, ‘Namakarana’ and ‘Peetarohana’ will be held from May 9. There will be ‘Atmashuddhi’, the self-purification ritual on may 9. Shailesh will be initiated into monkhood with ‘Pranava Mantra’ on May 10. He will be initiated into learning the ‘Ashta Mahamantra’on May 11. After the ‘Peetarohana’ ceremony on May 12, he will be inducted as junior seer of the Palimaru Mutt.
