People Flouting Covid-19 Rules: DC Personally Enters Field & Imposes Fine

October 1: Deputy commissioner (DC) of Udupi district, G Jagadeesha, led an operation against people violating COVID norms. The DC was assisted by traffic police and other department officials who fined the people who were not wearing masks.
DC Jagadeesha warned that more stringent action will be taken in the coming days. He mentioned that programmes aimed at spreading awareness about the need to follow rules will also be undertaken.
