People Near Central Market Using Plastic Bags Even After Ban? This is What MCC Did

October 6: An awareness campaign against use of plastic was organised near the Central Market on October 5. It was seen that several people were still using plastic bags while shopping fruits and vegetables. They were handed over with a cloth bag along with rose and a booklet providing information about the adverse consequences of plastic use on the environment.
The awareness campaign was inaugurated by Mangalore Smart City Managing Director Mohammad Nazeer. Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of DK District Working Journalists’ Union, Ganesh Nayak of Nelligudde Parisara Adhyayana Kendra, one of the organisers of the event.
this awareness campaign will be held for a month in places like markets, malla, shops as well as schools and colleges.
