Plants on Dividers in Mangalore City Are on the Verge of Dying Without Water: MCC Finds a Solution

Various plants were planted on the road dividers in Mangalore city to improve the look of the city. The Mangalore city corporation (MCC) has not been able to water the plants on the dividers in and around Mangalore city which has led to poor state of plants which are on the verge of dying.
City mayor Preananda Shetty said that MCC has planned to arrange for drip irrigation so that the plants get water regularly without any wastage. Initially, pipelines for the drip irrigation will be laid for the road dividers located in Mannagudda and surrounding areas. This will be later implemented in other parts of the city too, he added.
