Plasma Treatment For Covid 19 Likely To Start Soon At KMC Hospital Manipal

August 17: Kasturba Hospital at Manipal had applied for a permit to the Drug Controller General of India to conduct plasma treatment three months ago. As per the information received from the sources, the hospital is likely to receive the permission before end of august and are ready with the equipment and trained staff to conduct the treatment.
Plasma treatment is reported to be effective against the novel coronavirus. Nodal Officer, Dr TMA Pai Hospital said that Plasma can be donated within 14 to 28 days after recovery by a discharged patient between the ages of 18 to 60 years.
