Police Commissioner PS Harsha Meets Bus Drivers & Conductors to Discuss This Matter

August 20: Police Commissioner PS Harsha received several complaints regarding private city buses in the city during the weekly phone-in programme. Taking a serious note of complaints received against private buses Commissioner Harsha held discussions with private bus conductors and divers on Monday, August 19.
During the meeting, the drivers and conductors of private buses were clearly instructed that legal action will be taken against traffic violators & they need to be more organised and disciplined as a group.
Karavali Shramika Sangha — an association of drivers, conductors and cleaners was formed in the city around three months ago. MG Hegde, honorary president of the association said the aim is to make travelling in city buses passenger-friendly. Currently the association has 500 members. About 25 members met the police commissioner
