Prohibitory Orders Around Schools & Colleges in DK Extended Till February 26: Good Decision by DC Rajendra

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has issued an order extending the prohibitory orders around all schools and colleges in the district until February 26 in the wake of the Hijab row. The prohibitory orders will be in force from 6 pm on February 19 till 6 pm on February 26 and will be effective within a radius of 200 meters of educational institutions.

Earlie the order was issued from the morning of February 14 to 6 pm on February 19. The district superintendent of police had requested the DC to extend the orders to a distance of 200 metre around schools and colleges, and the deputy commissioner has complied with this request.
