Prohibitory Orders Imposed in Mangalore Till December 20: This is the Reason

December 19: In the wake of rumours on disrupting the peace and order by demonstrations against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) in parts of Dakshina Kannada district, prohibitory orders Section-144, which prohibits the gathering of five or more people has been imposed in Mangalore city commissionerate limits from Wednesday, December 18 9pm, till December 20, Friday.
Mangalore City Police Commissioner Harsha said that this has been  imposed in the backdrop of protests and demonstrations planned by various organizations and political parties against the Citizenship Amendment Bill and NRC passed by Central Government.
