Raids To Be Conducted By MCC Officials To Clear Street Food Vendors In Mangalore

March 17: MCC had issued a circular to shut down all street food vendors from March 16, as a precautionary measure against spread of Coronavirus.

Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) municipal commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde has directed corporation officials to conduct raids and clear roadside eateries in the city.
Commissioner Hegde has issued a circular in which he has instructed health and revenue department officials to form teams to launch raids and clear the city’s streets of vendors selling food on carts and vehicles.
The commissioner also added that all hotels and restaurants not adhering to the necessary guidelines and regulations will have their licenses cancelled.
